Welcome to Vision Week

Consultation has concluded, thanks for your feedback! Keep an eye on the project page for updates wagga.nsw.gov.au/waggaview

Vision week (15 May - 21 May) is about reviewing the community vision from 2009 and having a discussion on whether this vision should change or remain the same.

Wagga's current vision is:

“We are a thriving, innovative, connected community on the Murrumbidgee. We are rich in opportunity, choice, learning and environment.”

Over to you ... We want to know your thoughts on if we are a thriving, innovative and connected community. Your contributions this week will help form or confirm our Wagga View vision.

Come see us at the locations listed below or participate online.

Sunday 15 May: Wagga Beach Markets from 9am to 2pm

Monday 16 May Friday 20 May: Sturt Mall 10am to 4pm

Saturday 21 May: Tarcutta Markets, Tarcutta Hall from 8.30am to 2pm.

At the following locations you can watch community leaders and experts share their opinions on Wagga's current vision. You can participate by being involved in a short video, polls, a create-a-vision activity and an interactive ball game.

Hi Belinda, thanks for your feedback. During this consultation we have a range of ways for everyone in the community to have their say. Below are just a few of these options:• At any time feel free to call us on 1300 292 442 and ask for Serena Wallace or Matt Hof, we are always happy to hear your thoughts and explain more about Wagga View.• Our Community Truck will be hitting the road and stopping at 28 different locations covering all suburbs and villages in the Wagga region, keep an eye out for our Roadshow program to find the truck in your neighbourhood. (Riverina Gums residents can find us across the road at South City shopping complex on June 9 from 9am – 11am. Settlers Village residents can find us just up the street at the Estella medical centre on June 3 from 12pm – 2pm)• For people who can get down to the Sturt Mall we will be there for 3 weeks until June 10• For people who would prefer to use the website they can find all our engagements here - wagga.nsw.gov.au/waggaviewWe would love to be able to visit more places, like Riverina Gums and Settlers Village, to reach our large audience base within the Wagga region. However, unfortunately, this time our full schedule does not permit this. We will certainly consider these locations for future community engagement. Thanks again for being in touch. We hope this response answers your questions. Thanks, Matt.

As older people are a target group in the strategic community plan, I would like to see their access to having a say be more thoughtfully considered. Smart phone Apps and internet may be a challenge for some ( but not all) as would transport issues to get to the consultation points this week. Some older people are not always out and about, due to health issues, not because they no longer care what happens in our community. Consultation opportunities to places like RIverina Gums and Settlers village maybe could be considered. Thanks.
