Wagga, are you ready?

We are now kicking off four weeks of community consultation to determine Wagga’s vision for the future.

Wagga View – Our Future in Focus is the community’s opportunity to have a say on the new Community Strategic Plan.

This plan is not a Council document. It is an overarching guiding document created by the community, for the community.

The Wagga View consultation starts tomorrow at the Wagga Beach Markets from 9am to 2pm.

The first week of consultation, from Sunday 15 May to Saturday 21 May, focusses on reviewing the community vision created in 2009 and having a discussion on whether this vision should change or remain the same.

Wagga’s current vision is: “We are a thriving, innovative, connected community on the Murrumbidgee. We are rich in opportunity, choice, learning and environment.”

Participants can share their opinions on this vision by taking part in a short video, polls, a create-a-vision activity and an interactive ball game. You can also watch community leaders and experts share their opinions on Wagga’s current vision.

Sunday 15 May: Stall at Wagga Beach Markets from 9am to 2pm
Monday 16 May – Friday 20 May: Shop front, Sturt Mall 10am to 4pm
Saturday 21 May: Stall at Tarcutta Markets, Tarcutta Hall from 8.30am to 2pm.
