Hundreds of people have shared their vision for the future of Wagga Wagga during week one of Wagga View – Our Future in Focus.
A community wishing tree has sprouted to life with resident’s wishes for a Wagga of the future, thoughts are being videoed and captured in letters and conversations are being had about what is great in Wagga and what could be improved.
Wagga View is open to all members of the Wagga community and runs for four weeks. The Wagga View shop is open in the Sturt Mall, Monday to Saturday. In addition there are weekend opportunities at upcoming markets and online options here via wagga.nsw.gov.au/waggaview
The Wagga View Road Show will also be hitting the streets of Wagga suburbs and travelling to villages in the LGA from 28 May to 10 June (stop back here next week to find out more).
Week two of Wagga View features a schools program to capture ideas and views of Wagga’s younger community, and, the Wagga View Race.
During the school program, Charlie, Council’s community engagement truck, will visit a number of Wagga schools where students will take part in a range of activities, from discussing their favourite places and spaces in Wagga to sharing their thoughts to build a city they would like for the future.
The Wagga View Race will be run this week seeing teams compete in a number of activities to reflect the liveability of Wagga.

Week two Wagga View dates:
Saturday 21 May: Stall at Tarcutta Markets, Tarcutta Hall from 8.30am to 2pm.
At the following locations watch community leaders and experts share their opinions on Wagga's current vision. You can participate by being involved in a short video, polls, a create-a-vision activity and an interactive ball game.
Monday 23 May – Saturday 28 May: Shop front, Sturt Mall Monday to Friday -10am to 4pm and Saturday 10am - 2pm.
