With over 3000 backyard swimming pools in the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area, pool safety is a big community issue. Pools can be great fun, however, for some they have also resulted in tragedy.

Council asked the community to share their thoughts on the draft Swimming Pool Safety Policy.

As a community it's important for us to have a document that defines how we want to grow into the future. We also need to outline what we want and need as a community now. This document is a community strategic plan that guides us all in how to achieve these goals and how we can measure if we are on track or not.
